As an independent, family-owned pharmacy, we have been providing personalized care and trusted advice to our customers since 2008.
We fill prescriptions, give vaccinations, carry over the counter medicines, and other essentials.
We offer weekday deliveries to the Bethesda and Chevy Chase area for $10.
Kamlesh Dhallan, Manager and Lead Pharmacist
Ms. Dhallan earned a B.S. in Pharmacy as well as a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Ms. Dhallan served as a staff nurse at the AMI Doctors’ Hospital in both the Medical Surgical Unit and Intensive Care Units, before receiving her B.S. in Pharmacy in 1990. She has served as a staff pharmacist and consultant in various area hospitals, until beginning her career in long term care drug management for the elderly. In 2008 she and her brother started River Rx Pharmacy, which she now manages.

While there are many things that are ok for big chain stores, having a small pharmacy is a great thing – being able to see and talk to your pharmacist, and knowing they actually own the place, so they care and want you to keep coming back. The customer service is outstanding, and I have never had a problem there. They really go the extra mile, figuring out what crazy thing my insurance has come up with this month so I don’t have to.
I’ve been going to this pharmacy for the last two years and I couldn’t be happier. The staff are friendly and courteous, and even though I’m only there once a month they always greet me by name. The pharmacist goes out of his way to help me, calling me to offer me cost-saving strategies on expensive drugs, and calling me to help me get approval for prescriptions when the insurance company has an issue. I cannot recommend this pharmacy enough.
